Potkopinu Trail DETAILS & HIGHLIGHTS

Potkopinu Trail is the southernmost section of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail and features a three-mile stretch of deeply sunken historic pathway. Hikers encounter dramatic embankments over twenty feet high, uneven and sometimes muddy terrain, and must cross streams that may reach knee-deep depending on rainfall. The surrounding land is private property, so visitors must remain on the trail and camping is not permitted.
