The Village of Mt Eaton is a small grid-pattern town located in southeastern Wayne County in Northeast Ohio. The town sits on northeastern edge of Ohio Amish Country and features a significant Amish community living in and around the town.
The intersection of Main Street and Market Street divide the town into north and south, and east and west, respectively, and also features the junction of US 250 and US 241. These two major routes of travel in the region run concurrently along a significant segment of Main Street creating a seemingly endless flow of traffic passing through the town.
Most of Mt Eaton's businesses are located on or near Main Street with the rest of the streets being largely residential. Many of the streets are narrow, with many designated as alleys. The residential streets feature various types of housing typical of the Midwestern United States.
Mt Eaton itself is not particularly scenic, however, it does feature interesting scenes of daily life in a rural Ohio town with a significant Amish population.
The surrounding area of the town features winding country roads offering beautiful views of the rolling hills and plains dominated by Amish farms, livestock, and cropland.
